Colgate Society. Donald was a longtime believer in the value of an education. He provided financial support to his three sons and grandchildren as they pursued advanced education degrees and saw to it that they were debt free upon graduation. Donald was an avid golfer with a great sense of humor. Despite spending a great deal of time on the road away from his family as he pursued his professional career, he more than made up for it in his later years. Every other year for the past 30 years he planned and paid for complete family reunions usually at beautiful US National Parks. On the opposite years he and just his sons would go fishing trips from Alaska to Mexico. Our family would like to thank the great love and care our dad and family members received while he lived at Sunrise Assisted Living, Tenafly NJ, Drake Terrace San Rafael Assisted living, and briefly at Marin Convalescent Hospital Tiburon. We would also like to thank Mark and his staff at Valley Memorial Park Novato for helping us with funeral arrangements. We plan to have a celebration of life luncheon for our dad at the Clinton Inn, Tenafly, New Jersey. Date and time to be determined. Dad will be laid to rest next to Renate at Brookside Cemetery, Englewood, New Jersey.
